Open to all Kids Ages 5-17

          The classic tale of an aging toymaker and his puppet, Pinocchio, takes on timely issues in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio. Grammy Award-winner and master melodist Stephen Schwartz adds a compelling score of original songs to the beloved classics “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings.” Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the Toy Shop to discover what makes the “perfect child.”  Directed by Andie Anderson.

Spring Classes 2012 at the Brewery Arts Center
Andie will be teaching several Theatre Arts classes at the Brewery Arts Center this Spring.

Where the Wild Things Are:  Creative Drama & Music for Little Storytellers (Ages 3-7)

Through fun theatre games, creative exploration, music and movement, we’ll tell stories and learn the basics of working in a group and performing on stage.  Let the wild rumpus start!  (12 sessions)
Tuition:  $125 ($115 for members)
Mondays, 3:30-4:15pm
January 30th – May 7th, 2012

Acting  & Advanced Acting for the Stage (Ages 8-18)

Student will engage in theatre games, improvisations, individual and group scene study, and more to learn and practice the skills necessary to bring characters to life on stage. We will also study more advanced acting techniques for the serious actor. (12 sessions)
Tuition:  $125 ($115 for members)
Mondays, 4:30-5:30pm
January 30th – May 7th, 2012

Playmaking!  Playwrighting and Creative Drama (Ages 8-18)

Students will write and perform their own full-length play from scratch. Through dramatic structures, writing exercises and improvisational activities, and based on what the students want to make a play about, we will create a dynamic, fully staged production to be performed at the end of the class. (12 sessions)
Tuition:  $125 ($115 for members)
Mondays, 5:45-7pm
January 30th – May 7th, 2012

The Perfect Audition (Ages 8-18)
Want to land that next big role?  Learn what it takes to have the perfect audition for theatre, from performance technique, to choosing the right material, to headshots and resumes, to networking and presentation. (12 sessions)
Tuition:  $125 ($115 for members)
Saturdays, 11am-12pm
February 4th – May 12th, 2012

Triple Threat Musical Theatre Scene Study (Ages 8-18)

Students will sing, dance and act their way through some of the best Broadway musicals ever written.  In addition, we will cover the basics of Musical Theatre dance, healthy fitness and nutrition habits, classic musical theatre history and styles, and pulling it all together. Class will culminate in a recital performance for parents and families. (12 sessions)
Tuition:  $125 ($115 for members)
Saturdays, 12:15-1:30pm
February 4th – May 12th, 2012

*Don’t see a class you want on the right day and time? If you have a minimum of six children we can create your own class. Call us at 775.883,1976 x 118 or e-mail andie@breweryarts.org. If you can dream it, we can do it!  NOTE: Contingent on staff and classroom availability. Ages are as of the first day of class. Children must be fully potty-trained.
